What information Mangohound collects, why, and the choices you have. This covers our customers, visitors to our site, and the professionals who appear in our research.

Effective October 26, 2026 · Mangohound LLC, Bozeman, Montana · [email protected]

1. Information we collect from customers and visitors

  • Account information: your name, work email, agency name, profile photo if you add one, and team memberships. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider.
  • Billing information: billing contact, plan and payment history. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
  • What you enter: the companies, roles, job descriptions and notes you submit to build briefings, and your clients' responses on shortlist links you share (for example Yes / Maybe / No).
  • Usage and device information: pages viewed, actions taken in the app, IP address, browser type, and when a shared briefing link is opened.
  • Messages: emails and forms you send us, including the newsletter sign-up.

2. Professionals who appear in briefings

Briefings describe companies and the professionals who work in them, so they include business information about people: name, job title, employer, work history, education, location at the city or metro level, and a link to their public professional profile. We gather this from publicly available sources and licensed business data providers, and use it to analyze hiring markets and identify people who may fit a role.

  • We do not provide personal email addresses or phone numbers in briefings.
  • We do not use sensitive characteristics such as age, race, religion or health in our analysis, and age and graduation years are never used to rank anyone.
  • If you'd like to know whether you appear in Mangohound, or want to be removed, email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days and exclude you from future research.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: build, store and share briefings, run your account and process payments.
  • To send service emails: sign-in codes, invites, receipts, trial reminders and alerts about your shared briefings.
  • To support you, keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To improve Mangohound, using aggregated and de-identified data where possible.
  • To send our hiring-market newsletter if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use your agency's data to advertise to anyone.

4. Who we share information with

We use trusted service providers to run Mangohound, who process data on our behalf and only for that purpose: cloud hosting and storage, authentication, payment processing (Stripe), email, AI model providers used to analyze research, and business data providers. We also share information:

  • when you choose to, for example when you share a briefing link with a client or recruiter;
  • if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, the public or Mangohound;
  • with a buyer or successor if Mangohound is involved in a merger or acquisition, under this policy's protections.

5. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to make the app work. We don't use advertising cookies or sell browsing data.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Access, correction and deletion: email us and we'll help you see, correct or delete your information. Agency admins can remove team members and request deletion of their agency's data.
  • Do not sell or share: we don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising.
  • State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. We'll honor them and won't treat you differently for using them. You can make a request by email; we may need to verify your identity.

7. How long we keep information

We keep account and briefing data while your agency is a customer, and delete or de-identify it within 90 days after you close your account, except where we need to keep records for legal, tax or security reasons.

8. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

Mangohound is a business tool and isn't directed at anyone under 18.

10. Changes and contact

We'll post updates to this policy here and change the effective date; for material changes we'll email account admins. Questions or requests: [email protected] · Mangohound LLC, Bozeman, Montana.
