Terms of Service

1. The service

Mangohound is subscription software for recruiting and staffing agencies. Your account managers enter a company and a role, and Mangohound produces an online research briefing about that company, its hiring market and potential candidates, which you can share with your clients and recruiters by link ("the Service").

Briefings are research, built from publicly available information and licensed business data, analyzed with AI. They can contain mistakes or out-of-date information. Review each briefing before you share it, and use your own judgment in how you rely on it.

2. Accounts and seats

Your agency's account (the "Customer") is an organization in Mangohound. The person who creates it, and anyone they make an admin, can invite teammates, manage billing and remove users. Each person on your team uses their own login and is a paid seat. Recruiters you share a briefing with by link do not need a seat.

You're responsible for activity under your account, for keeping logins private, and for making sure the people you invite follow these Terms. You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these Terms for your agency.

3. Plans, trial and billing

• Price. $149 per seat per month, billed monthly in advance, unless your agency has a signed order form with different terms. Each seat includes 4 client briefings per billing period. Unused briefings don't carry over.
• Extra briefings are $45 each, charged when you buy them. They don't expire while your account is active.
• Free trial. New agencies get a 7-day trial that includes one briefing. A card is required to start. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your card is charged for your seats.
• Seats. Your seat count follows the number of people on your team. Adding a person adds a seat right away, with a prorated charge for the rest of the period; removing someone reduces your seats, with a prorated credit applied to future invoices.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store your full card number. Prices exclude taxes; we'll add sales tax where required.
• Failed payments. If a charge fails, we'll retry and let you know. If it still isn't paid, we may pause briefings until it is.
• Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to your plan.

4. Cancellation and refunds

• Cancel anytime from the Billing page in the app (agency admins), or by emailing [email protected].
• During the trial: cancel before day 7 and you are not charged anything. You keep the briefing you ran.
• After the trial: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund partial months or unused briefings.
• If a briefing fails to build because of a problem on our side, the briefing is automatically returned to your allowance.
• Charged by mistake? Email us within 30 days of the charge and we'll make it right, including a refund where appropriate.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service, or any briefing, to make decisions about a person's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance or housing in a way that would make Mangohound a "consumer reporting agency" under the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws. Mangohound is not a consumer reporting agency and briefings are not consumer reports;
• use briefings to discriminate on the basis of age, race, sex, religion, national origin, disability or any other protected characteristic;
• harass, spam or unlawfully contact anyone identified in a briefing, or ignore their requests not to be contacted;
• resell, sublicense or publish the Service or bulk briefing content outside your agency's normal work with clients and candidates;
• scrape, reverse engineer or overload the Service, share logins, or try to access other customers' data.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why when we can.

6. Your data and confidentiality

The companies, roles and notes you enter, and the briefings built for you, belong to your agency ("Customer Data"). We keep them confidential to your agency, use them only to provide and support the Service, and never sell them. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve Mangohound. You can export or delete your briefings by contacting us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

You're responsible for having the right to share any information you enter, and for how you use briefings with your clients and candidates.

7. Our property

Mangohound, its software, design and research methods belong to Mangohound LLC. While you're subscribed, you may use briefings built for you in your agency's business, including sharing them with your clients and recruiters. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation.

8. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is." We work hard to make briefings accurate and useful, but we don't guarantee that any briefing is complete or error-free, or that it will win a job order or a placement.

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits, and Mangohound's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You'll defend and indemnify Mangohound against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Service or a breach of section 5.

9. General

• Changes. We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here and, for material changes, email your account admin at least 30 days before they take effect.
• Ending the agreement. Either side can end it by cancelling. We may end it for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms.
• Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Gallatin County, Montana.
